Fall Ember Day #1 Report

Well, today is the first of the Ember Days for this fall.  Here in east central Iowa it will be 5 degrees below average for this time of year, mostly sunny, and windy.  So folklore says that's what our October will be like. The Old Farmers Almanac forecasts October to be 2 degress below normal, little rain, and mostly sunny for the majority of the month.  Maybe there is something to Ember Days after all! We'll see.

The picture is some of my fall decor this year.  The beautiful quilt I got at a auction a few years ago and the little pillow I stitched up last year.

Hope you have a great Ember Day!

  1. It is 74 here today, sunny out, but rain for the next few days, but nice temps. I love this time of year, without the rain of course;) Your quilt and setting is beautiful, looks so nice together.

  2. Reporting in from Nod (ok...North Central Wisconsin)...It is cold cloudy, and windier than heck here today!! High of 55 predicted (but not anywhere near that yet, and with the winds, it's feeling like 40's); low tonight of 38. Average high is 65. Oh man, I'm really hoping there isn't anything to this Ember thing.... ;o) Love your quilt! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
